The material realization of a mapping or a code which applies to some original object or phenomenon in one space and which ideally produces an isomorph (see isomorphism ) but some times also homomorph ( see homomorphism ) of this object or phenomenon in another space. Copying need not to be repetitive (see replication ) or be done by a system resembling the product (see self-reproduction ). (Krippendorff )
