Robot
Derived from the Czech word for work, a machine built to resemble a human in behavior, intelligence and sometimes also in appearance. Successful robots tend to be limited to particular functions, like automatic pilots for routine flights of an airplane or machines on an assembly line replacing human operators. ( Krippendorff )
