Resource Analysis

Dictionary of Cybernetics & SystemsDictionary of Cybernetics and Systems
The process of determining the economic resource impacts of alternative proposals for future courses of action. While in resource analysis, physical quantities are often ultimately translated into monetary terms, the real aim is to measure the probable "resource drain" on the economy that would result from various possible actions. The resource analyst must not only give attention to economic costs but also has to determine if it is feasible to obtain need physical material and manpower in the required time period. (IIASA)
