Definition Of:

Phenotype

Dictionary of Cybernetics & SystemsDictionary of Cybernetics and Systems
The overt features of living organisms including the interactions between them and their environments as identifiable by an observer. The phenotype of an organism is contrasted with its genotype on grounds that the former concerns its concrete physical existence in an observer's domain whereas the latter concerns the genetic make-up which that organism inherited and which accounted for its embryogenesis and development. (Krippendorff)
